As a Sauna enthusiast for many years I have built or owned three different non barrel saunas and experienced many more. After selling these barrel saunas for the past year I finally set up my own wood fired barrel sauna on the shores of Georgian Bay and I have to say the heat inside from floor to ceiling is incredibly even. I attribute this to the round interior of the barrel. I am delighted to have had the best Sauna ever.
