A natural finish and wide frame doors deliver a beautiful warm patina and capture the era of this dovetailed log farmhouse built in the 1890s. The island with its wooden counter also has an end grain cutting board built into the top. The grain in this cutting board is bookmatched in both directions. A small black mineral stain shaped like the wing of a fly was bookmatched to create what appears to be a house fly sitting on the cutting board. Probably not everyones sense of humour but my customer loved it.

This hard maple kitchen features a pollished stone Island top and plenty of cupboard space in a large open concept kitchen - dining room.
