The Arts and Crafts movement thrived from the late 19th century to the beginning of the first World War. Born of a dissatisfaction with both the state of British design and the disconnect between creator from craft through industrialization. The movement encouraged individual design and execution. The Arts and Crafts movement enjoyed varying levels of popularity in Britain, Europe and the United States. It reveals itself in architecture, furniture, bookbinding, pottery, textiles and numerous other crafts.

What do my customers have to say about their experience? Fred is an exceptional cabinetmaker. His creativity, depth of knowledge and attention to detail put him in a league of his own. Fred’s passion and dedication to his profession make him one of those rare professionals who instil confidence in everything they do. I have worked with Fred on more than one occasion. I plan to continue working with him on future projects. He is honest, reliable and fair. Above all, Fred is a pleasure to work with as he has a natural ability to connect with people and understand their needs. Mario Salvagio is the owner of the Arts and Crafts kitchen pictured here. It was produced in my studio in 2001.
