Birdseye Maple Chest

In 1984 the Durham Art Gallery asked if I would produce something to raffle in a fundraising drive. This Birdseye Chest was donated by me and the exquisite material with Birdseye’s the diameter of a pencil was donated by Welbeck Sawmill. The chest was won by the towns mayor whose sister ordered two more similar. It is made entirely of frame and floating panel construction and lined with juniper.

Material: Birdseye Maple, Juniper, Brass hardware
