Clear lacquer on unstained Cherry provides a warm aged patina second to none.

Staining Cherry will darken the wood down right away but the result is an unnatural colour when the wood has finally darkened through age.

Clear coated using catalytic lacquer. No Stain.

The majority of the darkening process, known as oxidization takes place within the first year. The next few years bring on the final degree of aging.

My plate carriage is dished for the plate edges to roll into. This assures nice front edge alignment of the plates while keeping them in place at the same time.

Small spice drawers and shelving embellish the function and form.
